Getting Closer!

Well I was hoping this week would be more productive, but I feel like that's how I feel every week. Of course when you have animals, things come up that have to be taken care of. For instance, Reginald decided to break into the neighbor's yard to visit their goats. Multiple times. And of course he would never do it when I was there looking to see how he did it. Finally my neighbor saw him do it, so I was able to patch the spot. Then later that afternoon, Reginald managed to break into the back pasture with the girls, and Howard broke into the neighbor's other pasture. To say that I was done with their crap is an understatement lol. I finally just closed off the area where they were getting close to that fence, and they haven't escaped again. I guess I can call that a success, but I still have to go fix where they got out into the other places.
On a better note, I was able to get all the fences up for the chicken runs on the barn this week! I now just have to get the gates up and replace some of the rotten wood that's on the barn, and my babies will be up and safe! That also means I will be able to start working again. Now that I am cleared from physical therapy, I am good to start working again. That's going to help with a lot of things.
Another good thing this week, we have a herd of 5 deer coming through pretty regular. We always see deer, but these seem to be in a rhythm of coming through our property. I took some pictures of them as they were crossing the road. There are 3 does and 2 yearlings. I posted a couple of the pictures I took.
That's about it for this week! When I get the chickens in the runs, I'll post some pictures. I'm super excited! I'm getting closer and closer to getting it all done. It may just be me, but it is so satisfying to get on the home stretch of a big project. Especially getting it done!
I'll update y'all next week, and hopefully the update will include the finished chicken runs!
